History
In 1853 the Appledurcombe estate was broken up and sold at auction. Bradings was classed as lot 20 (Fig.5) and grouped together with Allens for sale. (IWRO, 1853) The map shows the lands included in lot 20. (Fig 6) Furthermore, the occupier of the house and orchard and most of the land is detailed as being a W. Young, who is listed on the 1891 census as a dairyman and on the 1841 census as a farmer. The occupier of the cottage and gardens is a Widow Beavis, Chas. Norris and George Cheek.

A conveyance of 1854 shows that lot 20 was sold along with lots 22, 23, and 51 for the sum of £1,152 to a James Keet, gent. of Newport. (IWRO, 1854)
