Not too much had to be done to the outside, it was mainly the upvc windows that were changed, the north wall and gable ends were repointed, the guttering changed to cast aluminium and the front door has now been renovated.
Changing the workroom into the kitchen caused the most changes to a single room. The walls and ceiling were very damp and crumbly and the beam had a large amount of wood infestation. We left the flagstones alone except for a couple that were broken beyond repair but these were exhanged for old flagstones Liam sourced from a reclaimation yard.
In the downstairs bathroom, it was decided to put in a corner bath to make the most use of available space.
There was alot of work done in this room. Behind the wallpaper were concrete walls, underneath the carpet was 2" of concrete and behind the 60's fireplace was the Inglenook.
The ceiling had polystyrene tiles on it, which when removed half the ceiling came with it.
